What studies measured

Each outcome below comes from a published study, with its type and size, strongest design first. Animal and cell results are labelled as such and are not human results. No study has tested KLOW itself; the rows are for each ingredient.

  • GHK-Cu: Human evidence for GHK-Cu is almost entirely topical or cosmetic: a 13-patient randomized laser-resurfacing study where only patient satisfaction differed, and a 1994 randomized diabetic-ulcer gel study. A 2026 systematic review describes human trials as small, mostly facial cosmetic creams.
  • GHK-Cu: No human trial of injected GHK-Cu (the form sold as a research peptide) was found. The only injection evidence is animal (rat intra-articular) plus a multi-ingredient scalp injection formulation that cannot be attributed to GHK-Cu.
  • GHK-Cu: Two human entries (scalp injections, crow's feet case report) are combination products and are labeled as such; their results should not be read as GHK-Cu effects.
  • GHK-Cu: The animal studies cover wound healing, ligament healing after reconstruction, lung inflammation and colitis; two use liposome-encapsulated GHK-Cu or a gel formulation.
  • GHK-Cu: No half-life value was found for GHK-Cu: one rat plasma assay paper (PMID 9187381) reports rapid degradation to a metabolite without a half-life value.
  • GHK-Cu: No evidence was found for tanning, thyroid, perimenopause, women's health, hormone balance, PCOS, longevity (beyond mechanistic reviews), eyes, cellulite or skin tightening.
  • BPC-157: Human evidence is very small: 3 uncontrolled clinical reports (knee-pain chart review n=17, interstitial cystitis pilot n=12, IV safety pilot n=2) from private clinics, all in one journal, none randomized or controlled. A 2025 systematic review found 1 clinical study among 36 included.
  • BPC-157: Nearly all efficacy evidence is in rats, mice and rabbits. Animal results do not establish effects or safe doses in people.
  • BPC-157: The 2025 systematic review (PMID 40756949) reported "No clinical safety data were found"; the only human safety report found here involves 2 participants.
  • BPC-157: The knee-pain count differs between sources: the original study reports 11 of 12 improved on BPC 157 alone; the systematic review summarises it as "7 of 12 patients reported relief for >6 months". The original study's figure is used here.
  • BPC-157: No randomized controlled trial of BPC-157 has been published in PubMed as of 2 October 2026.
  • BPC-157: No evidence was found in the selected studies for hair growth, sleep, energy, wrinkles, skin tightening, cellulite, psoriasis, eczema, allergies, fibromyalgia, back pain, shoulder pain, blood pressure, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, immune system, longevity or menopause.
  • TB-500: TB-500 is a short synthetic fragment (N-acetylated LKKTETQ, the actin-binding region of thymosin beta-4). Nearly all human and animal literature in this file tests full-length thymosin beta-4 (43 amino acids), given as synthetic, recombinant or topical product; each study here says which molecule was used. Results for full-length thymosin beta-4 should not be assumed to apply to TB-500 or to products sold as TB-500.
  • TB-500: The only study in this file that tests TB-500 itself for a goal is a 32-rat Achilles tendon study (PMID 42542926), which describes TB-500 as synthetic thymosin beta-4; the abstract calls it exploratory and preliminary.
  • TB-500: No human trial of the TB-500 fragment has been published in PubMed as of 2 October 2026. Human trials are of full-length recombinant or synthetic thymosin beta-4 (RGN-259 eye drops, topical gel for venous ulcers, intravenous dosing, cardiac use).
  • TB-500: The dry-eye, venous ulcer and cardiac trials are small phase 1 or 2 studies. The 72-subject dry-eye trial missed both primary endpoints, and the cardiac trial found no overall difference in infarct area.
  • TB-500: The only knee-pain human report mixing TB4 with BPC-157 is listed under BPC-157 (PMID 34324435); it gave BPC 157 alone or with TB4 and cannot isolate TB-500.
  • TB-500: No half-life value was found for TB-500 or for full-length thymosin beta-4: a mouse immunoassay study (PMID 9226473) reports serum elevation from 2 to 40 minutes after injection and a human phase I study (PMID 20536472) reports half-life rising with dose, without values.
  • TB-500: The thymosin beta-4 literature is dominated by endogenous-protein biology, biomarker and cell studies, which are not covered here. A 2023 analytical paper (PMID 36482504) examining internet-sold TB500/TB1000 products reports that their content is not systematically consistent with the former descriptions, a product-quality caution.
  • TB-500: No evidence was found for joint pain (beyond the rat ligament study), arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, gut health, immune system, back pain, shoulder pain, osteoporosis, neuropathy, wrinkles, skin tightening, cellulite, allergies or athletes.
  • KPV: No human trial of KPV (alpha-MSH 11-13, Lys-Pro-Val) was found in PubMed as of 2 October 2026.
  • KPV: Evidence is limited to mouse colitis and peritonitis models, a 1984 rabbit fever study, and cell or ex vivo skin work. The animal papers date from 1984 to 2008.
  • KPV: No pharmacokinetic (half-life) data for KPV were found.
  • KPV: The only stability evidence is an HPLC stress-degradation study; it gives degradation product identity, not storage guidance for reconstituted peptide.
  • KPV: No evidence was found for psoriasis, eczema or rheumatoid arthritis; the inflammation findings rest on mouse and cell data only.

Before-and-after photos

We don't publish before-and-after photos. They can't be verified, rarely show dose, diet or other drugs, and only the most dramatic results get posted.

Common questions

How long does KLOW take to work?

The studies we summarise measured outcomes at set points, for example Follow-up survey at Most patients 6 months to 1 year after injection; Biomechanical and histological assessment at Four weeks post-operatively. Timelines outside studies vary.

Do you show KLOW before and after photos?

No. Photos can't be verified, rarely show dose, diet or other drugs, and only the most dramatic ones get posted. We summarize measured outcomes instead.
