How much water to add

Bacteriostatic water only changes the concentration, not the amount of Ipamorelin in the vial. More water means more units per dose (easier to read), less water means fewer.

How the math works

Concentration is the vial's milligrams divided by the water you add. Volume to draw is your dose divided by that concentration. On a U-100 syringe, 1 mL is 100 units, so units = mL × 100.

10 mg ÷ 2 mL = 5 mg/mL
300 mcg = 0.3 mg; 0.3 mg ÷ 5 mg/mL = 0.06 mL
0.06 mL × 100 = 6 units
6 units · 0.06 mL · 300 mcg from 10 mg + 2 mL
Math only. The amounts in these tables are reference values for the arithmetic, not dose recommendations.

What dose information exists for a 10 mg ipamorelin vial

Body-weight-based intravenous dosing in the one human trial leaves no flat milligram dose to line up with a vial.[3]

Animal doses of ipamorelin appear only in microgram-per-kilogram terms in the rat work, and no human equivalent is derived.[4]

Concentration of a 10 mg vial

A 10 mg ipamorelin vial mixed with 1, 2 or 3 mL of water is 10, 5 or 3.33 mg/mL.

Calculated from vial mg 10; water mL 1, 2, 3. Formula: mg/mL = vialMg / waterMl

On a U-100 syringe one unit (0.01 mL) of the 10 mg vial holds 100 mcg at 1 mL, 50 mcg at 2 mL and 33.3 mcg at 3 mL.

Calculated from vial mg 10; water mL 1, 2, 3; u100 units per mL 100. Formula: mcg per unit = vialMg x 1000 / (waterMl x 100)

Drawing up the whole 10 mg vial means 100 units at 1 mL, 200 units at 2 mL or 300 units at 3 mL of water, which is 1, 2 or 3 full 1 mL U-100 syringes.

Calculated from vial mg 10; water mL 1, 2, 3; u100 units per mL 100. Formula: total units = waterMl x 100; syringes = waterMl / 1 mL per syringe

Is 10 mg a labelled ipamorelin strength?

With no labelled ipamorelin product the 10 mg vial size has no FDA strength to compare against.

Calculated from vial mg 10. Formula: compare vialMg with each labelled strength in mg (none exist)

Common questions

How much water goes in a 10 mg vial of Ipamorelin?

That choice only changes the concentration. With 2 mL, a 10 mg vial is 5 mg/mL; with 1 mL it is 10 mg/mL. Less water means fewer units per dose and harder-to-read marks for small doses.

How many units is 100 mcg from a 10 mg vial?

With 2 mL of water, 100 mcg is 2 units on a U-100 syringe. With other water amounts, see the table.

How many doses are in a 10 mg vial?

Divide the vial size by the dose (in the same unit). The calculator on this page shows the number of whole doses for any dose you pick.

How much water for a 10 mg ipamorelin vial?

Water volume changes only the concentration: 10 mg in 2 mL is 5 mg/mL, or 50 mcg per unit.

Calculated from vial mg 10; water mL 2. Formula: mg/mL = vialMg / waterMl; mcg per unit = mg/mL x 10
