Evidence for eyes

Each row is an outcome related to eyes from a published study, strongest design first. Animal and cell results are labelled and are not human results. User reports are not counted as evidence here. No study has tested KLOW itself; rows are for each ingredient.

KLOW for eyes: outcomes in published studies
OutcomeResultStudy typeSource
TB-500: Ocular discomfort and corneal stainingAt day 56, the treated group had a 35.1% greater reduction in ocular discomfort and a 59.1% greater reduction in total corneal fluorescein staining than vehicle (very small trial).Human RCTn = 9Cornea 2015, PMID 25826322
TB-500: Primary endpointsNeither primary endpoint (ocular discomfort, inferior corneal staining) differed significantly between groups.Human RCTn = 72Clinical ophthalmology 2015, PMID 26056426
TB-500: Secondary endpointsDiscomfort scores in the challenge environment on day 28 were 27% lower than placebo (P=0.0244), a secondary endpoint.Human RCTn = 72Clinical ophthalmology 2015, PMID 26056426
TB-500: Corneal alkali burnThe peptide-containing hydrogel accelerated corneal epithelial regeneration and reduced inflammation in an alkali burn model; this is a formulation study.Animal · human corneal cells in vitro plus an animal alkali burn model (species not stated in abstract) (not a human result)ACS applied materials & interfaces 2025, PMID 41359360
BPC-157: Intraocular pressureAll BPC 157 regimens (eye drops, intraperitoneal, oral) normalized intraocular pressure in this rat glaucoma model.Animal · rat (not a human result)Biomedicines 2021, PMID 35052769

How strong is it?

Strongest evidence:Human RCT evidence, 4 of 4TB-500: Cornea 2015, PMID 25826322

A human randomized trial outweighs any number of animal studies. Animal and cell results show a mechanism worth testing, not that it works in people.

Eye care, briefly

MedlinePlus describes eye care as habits, checkups and treatment when needed, which is the frame for the eye outcomes below.[5]

Eye outcomes measured for the components of the four-peptide blend

The BPC-157 component was given as eye drops, by injection or in drinking water to rats with a glaucoma model; the abstract also reports preserved ganglion cells.[4]

A hydrogel built on the TB500 sequence promoted movement and growth of human corneal cells in the lab.[3]

Thymosin beta-4 drops (RGN-259) were examined in a phase 2 trial that reported a reduction in total corneal fluorescein staining versus vehicle; this trial involved a different product from TB-500.[1]

In a dry-eye challenge trial of the thymosin beta-4 solution (not TB-500), discomfort scores on day 28 were reduced by 27%.[2]

A PubMed search for all four components of this blend together returned 0 records on 2 Oct 2026, so no study has tested the blend on the eye.

Calculated from search GHK-Cu terms AND BPC-157 terms AND (TB-500 OR thymosin beta-4 terms) AND KPV terms; date 2026-10-02; count 0; page topic eyes; source our combinations data ghk-cu__klow. Formula: records matching all four components = count = 0

Common questions

Does KLOW help with eyes?

The strongest study we summarise for eyes is human rct evidence, for an ingredient rather than the blend, across 4 studies with an outcome for eyes. A trial result is not an approval; see the legal status.

Is KLOW approved for eyes?

No. KLOW is not FDA approved for any use, including eyes.

What is the best peptide for eyes?

There is no single answer. Our eyes overview compares each candidate by evidence grade and legal status rather than by popularity.

Does KLOW help dry eye or glaucoma?

The glaucoma result is for BPC-157 alone in rats, and the dry-eye trials used thymosin beta-4 drops.[4]
