The documented skin effect is focal hyperpigmentation, not general tanning. It was rare at labelled dosing but occurred in more than one-third of subjects after up to 16 consecutive daily doses.[1]

The label reports focal hyperpigmentation in 1% of patients and says the risk is higher with darker skin and with daily dosing.[2]

The label adds that resolution was not confirmed in some patients and advises considering stopping if hyperpigmentation develops.[2]
