What the human semax abstracts report as adverse
In patients with posthypoxic encephalopathy, EEG showed episodes of paroxysmal activity after a semax injection in some cases, so the authors advised monitoring brain electrical activity at the first injection.[1]

What cannot be concluded
A review describes semax as an ACTH(4-10) analogue completely devoid of hormonal activity; that is a statement about hormones, not a safety record.[14]
Drugs@FDA returns no match for semax, so there is no label with warnings, contraindications or an adverse-reaction table.[15]
