Evidence for inflammation
Each row is an outcome related to inflammation from a published study, strongest design first. Animal and cell results are labelled and are not human results. User reports are not counted as evidence here. No study has tested Wolverine itself; rows are for each ingredient.
| Outcome | Result | Study type | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| TB-500: Scalp seborrheic dermatitis | The thymosin beta-4 gel was reported more effective than ketoconazole lotion for scalp seborrheic dermatitis (randomization not stated in abstract). | Human controlled trialn = 71 | Microbial biotechnology 2021, PMID 34318587 |
| TB-500: Corneal alkali burn | The peptide-containing hydrogel accelerated corneal epithelial regeneration and reduced inflammation in an alkali burn model; this is a formulation study. | Animal · human corneal cells in vitro plus an animal alkali burn model (species not stated in abstract) (not a human result) | ACS applied materials & interfaces 2025, PMID 41359360 |
| BPC-157: Colitis and anastomosis healing | Control rats did not heal; BPC 157 induced healing of both cysteamine colitis and colon-colon anastomosis. | Animal · rat (not a human result) | Journal of physiology and pharmacology 2013, PMID 24304574 |
| BPC-157: Periodontal inflammation | BPC 157 treatment significantly reduced plasma extravasation, histological inflammation and alveolar bone resorption in ligature periodontitis. | Animal · rat (not a human result) | Journal of physiology and pharmacology 2009, PMID 20388954 |

How strong is it?
A human randomized trial outweighs any number of animal studies. Animal and cell results show a mechanism worth testing, not that it works in people.
Inflammation as MedlinePlus defines it
MedlinePlus describes inflammation as the body's protective response to injury or infection.[5]
Inflammation outcomes measured for the two components
In rats with gum disease, BPC-157 reduced leakage of plasma, tissue changes and bone loss around the molar.[4]
In a human trial of recombinant thymosin beta-4 gel for seborrheic dermatitis, the gel was compared with 2% ketoconazole lotion in 71 patients over 4 weeks; the product was thymosin beta-4, not TB-500.[1]
In rat colitis, BPC-157 healed injury that untreated controls could not.[3]
Whether the pair was tested together for inflammation
For the two components of this blend, 13 PubMed records matched both sets of terms on 2 Oct 2026, and the combination file lists 1 study of the pair together (a rat Achilles tendon study), so the pair has not been tested together for inflammation in that list.
Calculated from search BPC-157 terms AND (TB-500 OR thymosin beta-4 terms); date 2026-10-02; count 13; studies listed for the pair 1; source our combinations data bpc-157__wolverine; page topic inflammation. Formula: records listed for the pair = studiesListedForThePair = 1 of count = 13

Does Wolverine help with inflammation?
The strongest study we summarise for inflammation is human rct evidence, for an ingredient rather than the blend, across 4 studies with an outcome for inflammation. A trial result is not an approval; see the legal status.
Is Wolverine approved for inflammation?
No. Wolverine is not FDA approved for any use, including inflammation.
What is the best peptide for inflammation?
There is no single answer. Our inflammation overview compares each candidate by evidence grade and legal status rather than by popularity.
Does the Wolverine stack reduce inflammation?
The only study that tested the two components together, in rat tendons, found no added benefit over either alone.[6]
