Evidence for inflammation

Each row is an outcome related to inflammation from a published study, strongest design first. Animal and cell results are labelled and are not human results. User reports are not counted as evidence here.

How strong is it?

Strongest evidence:Animal evidence, 2 of 4Frontiers in pharmacology 2025, PMID 40672369

A human randomized trial outweighs any number of animal studies. Animal and cell results show a mechanism worth testing, not that it works in people.

Inflammation, and the measure used to track it

MedlinePlus explains that the liver makes CRP in response to inflammation, which is why a blood test for it is used as an inflammation marker.[4]

The same page describes acute inflammation as a protective, helpful process and chronic inflammation as potentially damaging.[4]

What GHK-Cu studies measured that is closest to inflammation

In mice with lipopolysaccharide-induced acute lung injury, treatment cut TNF-α and IL-6 and reduced inflammatory cell infiltration of the lung.[3]

In mice with chemically induced colitis, treatment lowered several cytokines and promoted mucosal repair.[1]

In mice with silicosis, the complex reduced lung inflammation and fibrosis, linked to antioxidant effects in macrophages.[2]

The PubMed record count behind the inflammation ledger (2 Oct 2026): 63 records for GHK-Cu terms with inflammation, colitis, C-reactive protein or TNF words, of which 13 are human-only, 12 are animal-only and 0 are randomized controlled trials.

Calculated from ledger query GHK-Cu terms AND (inflammat*[tiab] OR colitis[tiab] OR "C-reactive protein"[tiab] OR "tumor necrosis factor"[tiab] OR "tumour necrosis factor"[tiab]); date 2026-10-02; all 63; human only 13; animal only 12; rct 0; source our PubMed count ledger inflammation / ghk-cu ledger. Safety data for people with inflammatory conditions

The silicosis study reports no significant systemic toxicity, but this was in mice and not in people with lung disease.[2]

Common questions

Does GHK-Cu help with inflammation?

The strongest study we summarise for inflammation is animal evidence, across 3 studies with an outcome for inflammation. That is not proof it works in people.

Is GHK-Cu approved for inflammation?

No. GHK-Cu is not FDA approved for any use, including inflammation.

What is the best peptide for inflammation?

There is no single answer. Our inflammation overview compares each candidate by evidence grade and legal status rather than by popularity.

Does GHK-Cu reduce inflammation?

In mice and cell cultures it lowered TNF-α and IL-6; no human inflammation trial is cached.[3]

Has GHK-Cu been tested for ulcerative colitis in people?

The cached study used mice given 3% DSS for 14 days; it is a model, not a human trial.[1]
