Epitalon Results: What Studies Measured and When
What published studies measured for Epitalon, when those outcomes were measured, and what is still unproven.
What studies measured
Each outcome below comes from a published study, with its type and size, strongest design first. Animal and cell results are labelled as such and are not human results.

- Epitalon (the synthetic tetrapeptide Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) has no randomized human trial in PubMed. The only human-patient item is a 2002 Neuro Endocrinology Letters controlled study in retinal degeneration whose published summary gives no patient numbers or control design; the rest is rodent, fruit-fly or cell work, mostly from one research group.
- Human trials of the bovine pineal extract epithalamin (RCTs of melatonin rhythm, cardiovascular aging and mortality, PMIDs 15452611, 22451889, 14523363) are a different substance and are NOT counted as epitalon evidence here.
- No pharmacokinetic or stability data were found for epitalon.
- Telomerase and lifespan data are from mice, flies and cultured cells. Lifespan results in the mouse study were mixed: mean life span was unchanged while maximum life span rose 12.3%.
- Evidence for longevity is therefore animal and in-vitro only; no human evidence exists for sleep, energy or other goals. Epitalon is not FDA-approved and has no label.
Typical timeline
When measurable changes appeared in studies of Epitalon: not reported in study abstracts (PubMed search, 2 Oct 2026).
Before-and-after photos
We don't publish before-and-after photos. They can't be verified, rarely show dose, diet or other drugs, and only the most dramatic results get posted.
Common questions
How long does Epitalon take to work?
The study abstracts we summarised for Epitalon do not report when outcomes were measured (PubMed search, 2 Oct 2026).
Do you show Epitalon before and after photos?
No. Photos can't be verified, rarely show dose, diet or other drugs, and only the most dramatic ones get posted. We summarize measured outcomes instead.
