A review of adult growth hormone deficiency lists low bone mass and a higher fracture risk among the abnormalities seen when the hormone is lacking.[12]

The same review says growth hormone treatment improves or normalizes many of those deviations, a statement about people with diagnosed deficiency rather than about healthy bone.[12]
