GLP-1 / GIP / glucagon triple agonistUpdated

Short answer

Blood markers of inflammation fell in one of two phase 2 trial datasets, with a 54.8% drop in high-sensitivity CRP and 29.6% in IL-6, and did not fall significantly in the other.[1]

Animal and cell findings

In a mouse model of fatty-liver disease, a 2-week course of retatrutide lowered hepatic inflammatory markers in female mice.[2]

In a mouse and kidney-cell study of kidney scarring, retatrutide's effects were linked to inhibition of the NF-κB pathway as well as PI3K-AKT.[3]

In tumour-bearing mice the picture was different: circulating IL-6 rose and pro-inflammatory pathways were activated, so the drug is not uniformly anti-inflammatory in animals.[4]
