Why am I not losing weight on retatrutide?

The sources cannot diagnose one person's lack of response, but the phase 2 trial shows response varied: at 48 weeks, 10% or more weight loss was reached by 75% of the 4 mg group, 91% of the 8 mg group and 93% of the 12 mg group.

Short answer

The sources cannot diagnose one person's lack of response, but the phase 2 trial shows response varied: at 48 weeks, 10% or more weight loss was reached by 75% of the 4 mg group, 91% of the 8 mg group and 93% of the 12 mg group.[1]

What the trials show varies

Weight loss was dose-dependent in the phase 2 trial: 8.7% in the 1 mg group at 48 weeks against 24.2% in the 12 mg group.[1]

People with type 2 diabetes lost -18.8% on 12 mg at week 80, a different trial population and length from the adult trial without diabetes, so the two are not a head-to-head comparison.[2]

In the trial without diabetes, 12 mg gave -25.0% while 4 mg gave -17.6%, so the average gap between dose arms was several percentage points.[3]

Even in a trial, some participants were disappointed: some interviewed trial participants described frustration with disappointing weight loss (n = 3).[4]
