What the trials timed

At the end of the dose-ranging course the high-dose group had 9.2% less trunk fat versus a 0.8% rise on placebo.[1]

The trial extension showed the visceral fat reduction held at about 18% by 12 months.[2]

Results did not last without the drug: visceral fat reaccumulated after discontinuation.[3]

The label tells prescribers to reconsider continuing in patients who have not had a reduction in visceral fat.[4]
