In cell experiments, a liposome carrier loaded with GHK-Cu was reported to counteract inflammation, senescence and apoptosis from oxidative damage; the target use named is skin ageing.[11]

In skin fibroblast and skin biopsy experiments, copper tripeptide-1 enhanced elastin expression as one part of a three-compound mixture, so its effect cannot be separated from the others.[12]
