What the studies in men found

A prolonged intravenous infusion in men lifted serum testosterone from 16.6 to 24.0 nmol/liter alongside a rise in LH.[2]

Continuous dosing did not keep the hormone signal going: after 5 days of continuous infusion, testosterone stayed high but gonadotropins were back at vehicle levels.[1]

An intermittent schedule of daily infusions over 12 days sustained gonadotropin rises, and the receptor still responded afterwards.[1]
