Short answer

In one phase II trial in men with secondary hypogonadism, enclomiphene lowered IGF-1, and the drop was bigger than with transdermal testosterone.[1]

What the trial and related work reported

The comparison came from a randomised phase II study giving three enclomiphene doses against a testosterone gel, and the abstract does not say whether the IGF-1 change mattered clinically.[1]

Other measures in the same trial did not move significantly, including TSH, ACTH, cortisol, lipids and bone markers.[1]

A separate 12-man phase IIB trial also measured IGF-1 but its abstract reports no IGF-1 result.[2]
